At Weipa Camping Ground, we believe everyone should be able to enjoy the magic of where the bush meets the beach. While we’re a remote location, we’ve worked hard to make our facilities as accessible and comfortable as possible for all guests. With ramps for easy access, a combination of permanent and movable, and a dedicated accessible bathroom. Details below.
Our team is here to make your visit as seamless as possible—if you have specific requirements, please let us know before you arrive so we can have everything ready for you. Whether you’re here for a short stopover or a long stay, we want you to enjoy Weipa’s stunning surroundings without barriers.
Permanent ramps are in place for Barramunchies and two of our donga rooms, providing smooth, step-free entry.
For most of our cabins, we can set up a movable ramp upon request, making them wheelchair accessible without compromising on comfort or convenience.
We have a dedicated and specially designed accessible bathroom for guests who require extra space and facilities. This bathroom is kept locked from the general public. Guests are provided with a key for the duration of their stay.
