The beachfront villas are our most exclusive and luxurious accommodation at Weipa Camping Ground. There are 4 standalone villas, each providing views over Albatross Bay and have a shaded balcony. The villas are fully self-contained with kitchenette, ensuite, washing machine and dryer. We have 2 different bedding configurations available for your convenience. Every villa comes equipped with a fridge, toaster, kettle, TV, air conditioning, linen and towels and an initial supply of tea and coffee, as standard. Our villas are serviced weekly (for long stays) or on departure. Download a copy of our Park Map here to see the location of the villas.
Villa guests are welcome to make use of all our facilities, including the swimming pool, playground, on-site café and local tour advice and booking service. Please note that Weipa, like other Cape York destinations, can get very busy during peak seasons (May to August) and school holidays. Our villas often book out months in advance. Please read our Rules and Booking Conditions and FAQs before making a booking. Due to the high demand, we strongly encourage you to book prior to your travel, to avoid disappointment. We look forward to seeing you in Weipa.

Weipa Camping Ground is a great place to stay on your Cape York adventure. Our beachfront villas give you a front row seat to some of Australia’s best sunsets, on the golden shores of the Gulf of Carpentaria, and during the day, panoramic views over Albatross Bay and the Arafura Sea beyond. Beyond the beachfront, our grassy grounds have established trees and are well maintained, giving guests a nice reprieve from the red dust of the Cape. We have a shaded swimming pool and on-site café for your enjoyment and convenience. We also provide a local tour booking and advice service and highly recommend one of the scenic helicopter flights or heli fishing charters. Please note we do get busy and strongly recommend pre-booking your stay with us, prior to travel.
Please be aware there is limited parking in the accommodation car parks, and generally there is only room for a car. For guests booking with large boats, trucks, trailers etc, please speak with reception to ensure discuss alternative parking options.
